Clothing, Knitting, With Yarn

Wool & Honey by Andrea Mowry

Hello everyone.  Happy 2020! It has been awhile since I updated this blog.  The last few months of 2019 was quite crazy.  But that didn’t stopped me from knitting.  I completed quite a few projects that I can’t wait to share and add them to my collection.  For now, I’ll start with my most recently finished project: Andrea Mowry’s Wool & Honey.

I used Hedgehog Fiber’s sock yarn in Pine color.  I used this yarn and color before for the Ephemeris and completely fell in love with this color.

I am 90% happy how this sweater turned out, which is a lot more than many other sweaters I made in the past.  If I have to do it over again, I would raise my underarm higher.  Right after completing the last row of all round honeycomb.  As of how it is, it’s kind of hard to put a jacket over this sweater.  It’s also kind of awkward raising my arms because the whole body of the sweater will lift up. So raising the underarm will definitely help.

Another note: I’m a very loose knitter.  I knitted this in extra small with US4 3.5mm needle.  I only knitted 5 stitches instead of 11 in the underarm.  I didn’t want to have too much of a spread because I feel like I would look like a flying squirrel.

I have quite a few Andrea Mowry projects lined up for this year.  So if you are a big fan, be sure to stay tuned!
