I have been very eager to make door hangers lately to show the holiday spirit. Easter was only two weeks away when I started this project. I am still new to designing. I thought this bunny turned out a bit like made by an amateur (which I am😅).
I used Big Twist Value white and pink. I made a 17 squares by 17 squares corner to corner (C2C) crochet. I was trying to fit this cover over a 12″ x 12″ styrofoam square. It was a little tight. I would go for 18 squares by 18 squares next time. I tried to include the eyes in the C2C pattern. The bunny looked really dull. So I made oval eyes instead. I slipped stitch with black yarn for outline of the 🐰.
For the pompoms, I ordered these pom pom makers from Amazon. They work pretty great. It took me quite a few tries to make them consistent.
I hope kids in my neighborhood will enjoy this door hanger.
